Conservative State Senate Candidate Dickerson Announces Campaign Committee on Veteran Relations

NASHVILLE, TN. – Dr. Steve Dickerson, the Republican candidate for the State Senate in District 20, has announced that Retired Army Colonel Daniel Lindsey will serve as Chairman of his Campaigns Veterans Relations Committee.

“The number one issue to all Tennesseans at this time is our economy,” said Dickerson. “I would be remised if I did not pledge to stand-up and make our veterans returning home a top priority in my efforts to putting Tennesseans back to work. As a State, we must address the high unemployment rates of our veterans returning home.”

Currently in Tennessee 18.1% of young returning veterans are unemployed; which is 50% higher than any other group of unemployed citizens. The Veteran Relations Committee will serve as an advisory and advocacy board for the Dickerson Campaign.

“I am humbled to have someone like Retired Colonel Daniel Lindsey, a decorated disable veteran with over 36 years of service to both the U.S. Army and the Tennessee National Guard, stand beside me and Chair the Campaign’s Veterans Relations Committee to help advocate the very best for all of our Veterans,” commented Dickerson.

Retired Colonel Daniel Lindsey stated, “After working to help Veterans of all present and past conflicts as a Veteran Advocate and Advisor to both Federal and State level Administration’s and Legislators over the past 30 years; I cannot stress the importance of having someone like Steve Dickerson with both his business and medical background in our State Legislature. Steve’s understanding of the medical issues germane to helping our Military Veterans will be invaluable when our General Assembly wrestles with how the State can best assist our wounded warriors live both a happy and productive life here in Tennessee.”

Steve Dickerson is a practicing physician and founding partner of Anesthesia Services Associates. Dickerson attended the University of the South in Sewanee graduating with a B.A. in History. He then received his medical degree at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University. Steve Dickerson has been married to his wife Katrina for 19 years and they have three sons, Reid, Evan, and Bennett.
